Unique OT

Before I applied to UTHSC, I shadowed at multiple settings for OT. I primarily shadowed OTs that worked with geriatrics or adults. Thus, my scope of OT was somewhat narrow, considering how many settings we have talked about today. I love to babysit and work with children. My nieces are highlights in my life. Children are a major part of my life. As of right now, I believe the area of practice that I want to work in is a school setting. I love to work with kids and I like the community of a school. I want to help children achieve in their goals, help them fulfill their roles as students and to find happiness in their childhoods. School settings are a publicly funded institution.
